SPEED HUMPS FOR SPRINGFIELD

Speed Humps are proven to slow roadway traffic.  West Springfield recently installed some, and coming to Springfield soon. Springfield has a process for neighbors to apply for an installation on a residential street, established by Ordinance, with the following Guidance and application form.

WalkBike Springfield is encouraging a kind of speed hump known as raised crosswalks to be constructed throughout the City, starting with crossings to our schools. Send suggestions for raised crosswalk locations to walkbikespringfield@gmail.com.

BE PART OF MAKING ROOSEVELT AVE. SAFER FOR ALL USERS!

HELP US UPDATE SPRINGFIELD'S BICYCLE NETWORK MAP

The map was first developed in 2016 – with many bicycle lanes and sharrows now throughout the City. But when bicycling through Springfield from east to west, north to south, and other routes to and from neighborhoods and nearby communities, there are still many areas that are dangerous on bicycle.

Here are links to the 2016 map: full map; east section; west section.
Comments still welcome: send to walkbikespringfield@gmail.com
